Wet, wet, wet!!

I guess that most of you who might be reading this have had just as wet a summer as we have. But this is more rain than I remember getting in a long, long time. Last month our irrigation pump, to the acreages in our subdivision, broke down. So we have been without irrigation for our pasture, and grain. What a blessing when we got rain, and our fields didn't dry up! Now if we could just dry out a little.

I called Bill today on my way home, and he said he was in the middle of cleaning up a flood, in the house! GREAT! When he got home, the back door was wide open, and another downpour had just come through. I usually lock the doors when I leave. But I had put some blankets out - to dry -(HA) and forgot. I felt a little sheepish for not shutting the door tight. Or did I???
My neighbor called shortly after I got home to see how things were at my house?? "Just fine...why?" Her son had just informed her that he, and some of Matthew's other friends had come over to play, but we weren't home, so they just came in (the back door) to find some light sabers! Ah Ha! So, I'm not losing my mind. - Lesson learned.

More EXCITING stories and pictures to come!! When I can sit guilt free, while everyone is sleeping.

Glad to hear we are not the only ones being blessed with an abundance of moisture! Hope you are enjoying it despite the "flooding"! And glad to hear that there is a postive side to getting all the rain! - not having a pump for the grain. Hope you are doing well. If you ever head to Utah, stop by and say hi! We would love to see you and your family!
