ONE

Bill and I recently celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. (OK, so I'm a little slow, it was May) I'm so thankful to have a wonderful, devoted, hard working and loving husband. We're coming closer to the time when we will have been together longer than we have been apart. That seems hard to believe! It is a wonderful life. We are blessed.

I don't think either of us thought, going on that first date, that this was the one. Me in my slicked back, ugly dancer hair - Bill in his flannel plaid shirt, and tight 501's. But, once we got together, we were never apart, and all it took was one date!

I was thinking how alike we are at times. It certainly isn't hard to know how he's feeling about something, or what he's going to say (usually- I still have to pry it out of him occasionally!)

It always makes me smile when we blurt out the same word, or sentence spontaneously. For instance, this week, we went on a little 4-wheeler ride, and drove by our neighbors house. Their little curly headed girl was looking out the window at us, and as if on cue, we both said "little orphan Annie". Then yesterday, as Allyson and I were talking about Michael Jackson and singing a few of his songs, Bill came in the house to my serenade of "na na na...woo, woo, woo" (can't you tell, that's "Man in the Mirror"?) Then after visiting for a few minutes, I turned around, and again, right on cue, we sang together "Gonna make a change, for once in my life." Funny. He always says - "Get out of my head".
So... when you think about being one - how alike will we be in an eternity? It will be fun finding out.

He told me that his new favorite song is "Then" by Brad Paisley, then he sang it to me. Sweet! I love him!
