I have arrived!

I remember just a few short years ago, sending my cute tiny daughter off to kindergarten. Going to the orientation - sitting there with the other parents at different stages of life. Thinking that it was official. I am a real Mom! Wow, life was simple. Children were young. The biggest deals back then were the messes the kids made, Tyson trying to hit his sister, dealing with no sleep with babies that wouldn't sleep through the night. (Those were and still are big deals!) But today, as I walked into the Commons of the High School to attend parent teacher conference (ever so reminiscent of Rigby High School) I knew I had arrived. It really is official now... With a child in each of four schools, I am a MOM! As I run to and fro, and to again, I think I'm understanding what busy is. As a stay at home Mom, I'd like to find the "at home" again, and get myself organized. (Would anyone like to nominate me for "Mission Organization"?)

As I sat and listened to the teachers talk about my great kids (hooray) I thought of how quickly the years go by. I sit and rock my little Maycie, and I'm trying to cherish each moment, remember how she looks, and I think how it truly was not that long ago that I was rocking Ally. If time were to go for Ally as it did for me...I'll be a grandma in 8 years. SAY WHAT!? I didn't think my parents were "old" when I was in high school - but, they sure seemed older than I am! (didn't they?)

It won't be long before Bill and I are sitting on the porch, sighing, and singing "Sunrise, Sunset".

:) Welcome to the club. The grandma is 8 years stopped me in my tracks. Really??? If Mikayla had a baby at 21 like I did, it's 6 years away for me. Crazy. My emptynester friends tell me to enjoy the running and chaos and drama because it will end soon and then it's just quiet and boring at home.
I love the picture of the boys moving pipe. It reminds me of my brothers moving pipe together: Rich and Greg on the ends, Jus in the middle to balance!
Yeah, time goes by so quickly.
And YEAH for your great kids who got good reviews at PT Conference! Way to go!
