Happy New Year!!

Nothing helps ring in the new year better than a surgery! Who doesn't like to take advantage of meeting your hefty health insurance deductible, and take out tonsils in 3 of your cute children.

When they kept getting sick, and we knew that it would be necessary sooner than later, we asked if the doctor could fit them in before the new year. So there you go, Dec 29th, (Happy Birthday, Rich) we slathered on the numbing cream, for the IV's, and loaded up and headed to the hospital. At first, the worst part was the anticipation of getting an IV. After Jaron and Josh felt no pain, we thought all would be great. But then, Tyson, felt quite a bit of pain, panicked and passed out. Fun stuff.

Now, 4 days later, they are still needing pain killer, but not nearly so urgently. Life should be much better now that they're not harboring every illness that comes along, in the back of their throats for weeks. And now, they all sound like smurfs when they talk. We hope that will end eventually.

What a way to spend the holiday:) Were they at Madison? I'd like a link to your "fitness" blog. After losing 60 lbs last year I want to finish off with another 30 this year and I can use all the help I can get.

I love the picture with the boys showing off the back of their gowns...so cute! That must have been a huge adventure doing that all at once! Glad you survived!

Yikes! I'm so glad the nurses let you wear pj bottoms with the gown. I wouldn't want to see smurf cracks! Hope you all feel better quickly and are able to go back to school this week!

Oh what brave boys! They look so cute in their hospital beds. I don't think I could get my boys to smile in the same situation. Happy late birthday Bill.

Ahh- I know the day surgery wing all too well. We'll be up there first thing in the morning. Jace had fun seeing the pictures of the boys- especially the one of Josh in his tiny wheel chair. Hope they are recovering well. They seemed pretty out of it on New Years. Relief to have it behind you, I'm sure.

Oh yeah, add me to the Fine in 09 blog. I'll have plenty of baby weight (or atleast lack of watching what I ate while pregnant extras.) I can already tell it's not going to be easy to get back.
