What a kid...Never a clean moment at our house. While she is adorable when she's just bathed and squeaky clean, this is the girl that we're most used to. I left her at the computer screen watching Barney, which is currently her very favorite, and went out front for literally 5 minutes, to go and pick my 8 pieces of asparagus that had finally grown. I came in the house to find her sitting on the floor, going through my purse (looking for gum), with this face!
Amazingly enough, I didn't find a speck of it on the floor. I hate to make her think it is funny; so while telling the kids not to laugh, and telling her that it's so yucky and messy, I get the camera. She knows when I tell her to look at me - she needs to say "CHEEEEESE!" I'm not sure she got the message that mom didn't like this. Luckily it wasn't my favorite Mary Kay lipstick!
Marriage...
We celebrated our 17th anniversary, going to the temple, and later, out to dinner and a little shopping(It was a fun day!) We were taking longer than I thought we would on our date, so we called the kids a few times and finally told them, "OK, we're coming home, now" They decided it would be fun to hurry and get the kitchen clean - and even the back entry :) and to make us some cookies and "limeade" with fresh limes. We we came in we were very surprised to find them all standing there with big smiles on their faces saying "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" It was very sweet. HOWEVER, I don't think Tyson taste tested his limeade creation, because we were struggling just a little to swallow his delicious concoction. It was a very kind gesture, though!
Memorable Memorial Day...
A few weeks ago, the boys wanted to plan an end of school camp out, so they set up the tent - in the cold - of course, and we made tin foil dinners in the fire pit. Fun Fun Fun! Sadly, if we went outside and did it again today, we would be dressed similarly!
